This collage of both futurist mentality & romance has a vice grip like presence from the first note of bassline, moaning, countering a backdrop of ohhhs & ahhhs, as if to express the introduction of budding conflict, but it is surely reconciled in the synthiest of gentle washes. It’s an ethereal epic. All the mystifying melody of a Tim Hecker piece, but somehow it moves with more knowing, displaying its hand with a slow slyness.
